MORE THAN JUST
A GOLF COURSE

The Puerto Azul Golf Course has long been revered by the golfing community that remember the golf course in its early glory days. It was designed by professional golf player and course designer, golf legend Gary Player, and inaugurated by the then President Ferdinand E. Marcos.

It has been dubbed as the Pebble Beach of Asia because of its stunning mountain and beach attractions.  The two nines make for an exceptional golf experience with the contrasting environs of rainforest and ocean at play.

It hosted the Philippine Open in 1989, won by Emlyn Aubrey of the United States. Now known as the Zamora Championship Course at Puerto Azul, its inherent beauty is enhanced by the recent restoration and redesign of certain parts of the course.

The entry of the group of Salvador (Buddy) Zamora II restored the golf course and rekindled a new passion for championship play in the new course layout.  His vision of a true championship golf course reaffirms the Philippines as a premier and world-class golf destination.  The spectacular ocean views and untouched forest were maximized into play to create a golfing experience that is at par with the best by today’s standards.
